Hon. Alhaji Paramount Chief Alimamy Lahai Mansaray V, Passes On
The Hon. P. C. Alhaji Alimamy Lahai Mansaray V, of Dembelia Sinkunia Chiefdom, Falaba District passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2021.
Hon. P.C. Alhaji Alimamy Lahai Mansaray V, was born in Sinkunia town, Dembelia Sinkunia Chiefdom, Falaba District, then Koinadugu District on March 18, 1939.
He attended the Magburaka Secondary School for Boys (Boys School), where he completed his schooling before joining the Koinadugu District Council Local Government Administration.
He rose through the ranks to become the Chiefdom Council Accounts Clerk charged with the responsibility of managing the finances of the entire Chiefdoms.
He was elected Paramount Chief of Dembelia Sinkunia Chiefdom in 1994.
In 1996, he was elected Honorable Paramount Chief Member of Parliament for Koinadugu District and also became ECOWAS Member of Parliament in Abuja, Nigeria, representing Sierra Leone. He was also appointed Chairman Council of Chiefs for Koinadugu District.
An ardent sports enthusiast who played Lawn Tennis very well and financially supported youngsters playing football and paying school fees for countless others.
