Joseph Koroma a teacher made another appearance before Magistrate Santigie Bangura of Pademba road court No.3 in Freetown on two counts charges to wit public insult and provocation contrary to section 2 of the public order Act No.46 of 1965 and Abusive language contrary to section 3 (1) of the Public Order Act No.46 of 1965.

According to the particulars of offence on the 19th September 2022 at second junction Sussex the western area in Freetown in the view of the public and in the presence of the complainant insulted her (to wit u dae kam forkuf narya) with intent to provoke her to commit a breach of the peace; on count two at the said date the accused person did make use of abusive language (to wit u ass u mami Bombo u array girl) against the complainant therein with intent to provoke her to commit a breach of the peace

The charges were read and explained to the accused person who pleaded not guilty.

Counsel representing the accused person M. Jawara Esq applied for bail for and on behalf of the accused person that he is a Sierra Leonean resident within this jurisdiction and that he has reliable sureties who are willing and ready to go into recognizance on his behalf; he will not interfere with prosecution witness or witnesses; he made his application under section 79 2& 3 of the Criminal procedure Act No.32 of 1965.

Main while, Magistrate Bangura granted the accused person bail for sixty million Leones with one surety in like sum surety to be resident in the western area surety to produce a valid identity card depicting his or her address in Freetown bail to be approved by the Deputy Assistant Registrar. Matter was adjourned
