Alicious Deen Tarawally alias Arata Paopa has been arraigned before Magistrate Marke Ngegba of Pademba Road Court No 2 on three count charges of carrying offensive weapon, disorderly behaviour and throwing missiles contrary to law.

It is alleged on the charge sheet that on February 19, 2022 at Aberdeen Police Station the accused was found with one old machete with black handle and one old knife with brown handle without lawful authority.

The police also alleged that on that same date and place, the accused did behave in a disorderly manner and pelted missiles at the Aberdeen Police Station.

After charges have been read, the accused pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor Assistant Superintendent of Police Hawa Bah informed the Bench that she did not intend to go on with the matter because she did not have conference with her witnesses.

She craved the indulgence of the Bench for an adjourned date.

Magistrate Marke Ngegba refused the accused bail and adjourned the matter to February 22, 2022.

In another development, Arata and one William Mathew Johnson were arraigned for conspiracy to commit robbery.

According to Premier News Newspaper, it is alleged that on December 31, 2021, both accused stole from one Mohamed Alhaji Barrie one blue mobile phone value at Le 3.5 million. They were refused bail and ordered to be remanded at the male correctional center.
