Armed Robber Shot And Killed by Police Over Attack on Beach Bar

Regional Commander, Freetown West, Commissioner of Police, Victor Manfred Williams has on Thursday 6th October, 2022 revealed that an Operations Support Division (OSD) officer shot and killed an armed robber at a Levuma Beach Bar in Freetown.

Commissioner Williams recalled that on the 2nd October 2022 at around 05:00 hours armed robbers attacked the bar on Levuma Beach in an attempt to rob the bar.

The armed robbers hit the Local Security Personnel on guard with a machete.

Before long, an OSD officer, came to the scene and shot one of the robbers.

Williams also told journalists that the corpse of the robber that was shot has been conveyed to the Connaught Hospital Mortuary for postmortem examination.

He mentioned that the local security guard, Alimamy Amara is currently at the 34 Military Hospital for treatment over the injury he sustained from the machete.

Commissioner Williams also disclosed that the Anti-Robbery Unit of Freetown West is investigating the matter
