The Inspector General of Police, William Fayia Sellu has revealed that the Sierra Leone police have the best cyber investigation laboratory in Africa second only to South Africa in which is also actively operational.

The IGP made this disclosure in an update to the new Minister of Internal Affairs, Rtd Major Gen, David Taluva during his maiden meeting with Executive Management Board (EMB) of the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) on their administrative set up, operations and plan interventions held in Freetown.

He said that, the set-up was provided by Rtd USA special force named Jerry Torres, for which officers have been also trained, adding that, the SLP is divided into six administrative regions with each region headed by a regional commander with thirty-six (36) local command units across the country.

He commended the current EMB and the support he receives from them referring to them as the cabinet of the SLP.
