Building Opportunities and Motivating Individuals, a non governmental and Charity organization based in the Northern city of Makeni on January 27th 2024 donated school and learning materials to a number of school going kids within the Makeni municipality.

BOMI is known over the years for its charity and development activities around the Northern region and the organization functions in two folds which is agriculture and education.

As part of its continued effort to promote education, the President of the organization, Sulaiman Frederico Tholley led a team of Staff to three of the Makeni city’s populated primary schools with school and learning materials to support kids and children from less privilege homes and communities.

Kulafai Rashideen Primary School, Islaha Islamic Primary and the Our Lady of Fatima primary school are the three schools whose pupils benefited from BOMI’s good will gesture, and they were provided with school bags, rulers, pens and books. Sullaiman Frederico Tholley, the President said the project is named “Education is a must for children” and it’s intention is to help keep children from poor homes in school.

“Today, we’re out for the implementation of a project title Education is a must for children. We strongly believe that every child has the potential to become a great leader in the future and we feel privileged to be able to make a positive impact in their lives. We’re honored to be part of their journey and we’re also committed to providing them every possible opportunity to succeed,” the President stated.

The implementation, Tholley said was so timely and well appreciated by the School going pupils, the school administration and the parents.

Mohamed Sesay, a class six pupil and beneficiary on behalf of colleagues thanked the organization for what he called a timely intervention.

As pupils, Sesay said they would forever be grateful to the organization and its founders for immensely contributing to their lives.

We promised BOMI that we will study hard to become great leaders in the future,” the class six pupil said.

The administrations of the three schools and all of the parents present expressed gratitude to the organization.

BOMI was founded by a group of young people in Makeni City to primarily give back to society in a positive way. The organization is looking for support to continue its developmental agenda which aim is to alleviate the less privilege from the bondage of poverty and suffering.
