Contestant representing Calaba Town on the Miss Orange Makit Uman Pageant, Juliana Kenneh Alias Julie Gold, has on an exclusive interview with Influential blogger, Precious Amabel Smith, showed what made her stand out from other contestants.

On the interview, Kenneh speaks of how she possessed outstanding qualities which the Calabatown people saw in her and which made them picked her in the first place.

Five of us were up selection but the people of Calaba Town chose me. They didn’t choose me just because of my beauty, because all of us are beautiful but they saw other qualities in me,” she said.

Julie Gold just as her name, is a 28-years-old beautiful lady with goldie-blond tinted hair cut, light-skinned with a petite figure, who sells fish at the Calabatown Markit.

According to Julie Gold she went through so many hard hurdles growing up and had to drop out from school at an early age because of financial challenges.
Even though her journey had been a tough one, she is thankful that she was able to go into trading which has changed her life.

Having said that, she noted that she is grateful for the platform Orange has given her to be able to make a change in her life and to make a good change in Calabatown Market which is her place of business.

“Our market structure is poor, we don’t have any water to wash cassava leaves, some women have to fetch water from far distance just to wash their foodstuffs. We need taps, I want us to have two or three taps all over the market. We also need to have a bin with cover where we can store our trash in order to get rid of flies.” Said Julie.

According to Orange the Winner of the Orange Makit Uman pageant will take home Le50 million and her market will also get additional Le50million in the form of a project that will be sponsored by Orange Sierra Leone.
