CCTV Captures Man Stealing Phone at Freetown Petrol Station
Sia Lucy Kannah A brazen theft was captured on CCTV at an NP petrol station located at the intersection of Wilkinson Road and Aberdeen Road in Freetown.
The footage shows a man opening the door of a parked car and stealing a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 mobile phone while the owner, Patrick Sheku Bockari, was refueling the vehicle.
Mr. Bockari has announced a NLe 5,000 reward (equivalent to 5 million old Leones) for any information leading to the arrest of the suspect. Authorities are urging the public to come forward with details to help identify and apprehend the thief.
The incident highlights the need for vigilance, even in seemingly secure public spaces. Anyone with information is advised to contact local police or the victim directly.
