Child Drowns in Lambayie Stream, Kenema
Binta Koroma A male child have been found in the Lambayie Stream near Opportunity Training Center of the kenema city.
The child, presumably around ten years is said to have accidentally drowned on Monday 16th October, in the Lambayie stream.
The boy was found face-down in the middle of the stream, unconscious. His identity is unknown.
The apparent drowning occured at the heart of Kenema District. This came six months after another drowning incident took place at Nongowa chiefdom of the district. Four school children drowned in the Kailondo Beach after they went swimming on Easter Sunday.
The matter was reported to the police, and the bodies were later discovered and buried by their parents.
