Legendary Sierra Leonean radio presenter, broadcaster and media personality Mamaja Jalloh, popularly known as DJ Base, has officially tied the knot with his queen, Mariama Kamara.
The couple exchanged vows on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at the Registry Building in Freetown, marking the beginning of a new chapter in their lives as husband and wife.
During the ceremony, DJ Base expressed his love and commitment to Mariama, pledging to make her his number one, partner, confidante and forever queen.

Mariama also reciprocated the commitment, assuring her husband of a marriage filled with love, companionship, happiness and beautiful memories as they embark on their journey together.
The union marks a major personal milestone for DJ Base, one of Sierra Leone’s most recognisable and influential media personalities. Known for his distinctive and smooth “Valentine voice,” he has spent decades behind the microphone, using his platform to entertain audiences while also contributing to conversations on music, culture and social issues.
Beyond his work as a radio disc jockey and broadcaster, DJ Base has also been recognised for using his voice to raise awareness about issues affecting society. Over the years, he has spoken on matters including the protection of women from sexual assault and concerns surrounding the misappropriation of public funds.
