A pole belonging to the Electricity Distribution and Supply Authority [EDSA] cables reportedly caught fire at Texaco Old Road near Tunde Macarthy’s Investment Centre. The incident which occurred during the late night hours of Wednesday 21st May 2025 left residents in shock and fear.
Photos widely shared on Facebook show flames blazing from the pole attached to EDSA infrastructure.
Residents are urging EDSA to take proactive measures to prevent such incidents, expressing concerns that the situation could escalate into a disaster. Community members are calling for immediate action to ensure the safety of the area and prevent future occurrences.
For months now citizens have been raising concerns with the way and manner fire incidents are happening in the country in residential homes, business places and also EDSA facilities, etc which are allegedly cause by the voltage of power supply by EDSA.
