U.S. Embassy Freetown Calls on American Citizens to Join Volunteer Program
Sahid Bangura The U.S. Embassy in Freetown is encouraging American citizens living in Sierra Leone to participate in its Citizen Liaison Volunteer (CLV) program, the Embassy announced in a public statement.
According to the Embassy, the program aims to strengthen connections between U.S. citizens and the Embassy, as well as among Americans living across the country.
Volunteers are expected to share timely information, provide support during emergencies, and help foster a sense of community.
“CLVs play an important role as a bridge between the Embassy and the American community,” the Embassy said. “If you are passionate about supporting others and staying engaged, this is an opportunity to serve and make an impact.”
The CLV program is part of the Embassy’s ongoing efforts to ensure that U.S. citizens residing in Sierra Leone remain informed and supported, particularly during critical situations.
The Embassy noted that participation provides an avenue for Americans to actively contribute to their community while strengthening ties with the Embassy.
