In a momentous stride towards offering care and support to orphaned girls, the Kori Chiefdom Girl-Child Orphanage Center was officially unveiled on December 27, 2023, in Gbuhun Village, Moyamba District.

This initiative, led by CEO Mrs. Mariatu Mansaray, endeavors to create a nurturing haven for vulnerable girls who have lost their parents.

During the inauguration ceremony, CEO Mrs. Mariatu Mansaray highlighted the diverse amenities and services that the center is set to provide. These encompass comfortable living quarters, educational provisions, healthcare facilities, and recreational spaces. The center’s overarching goal is to adopt a holistic approach in nurturing and fostering the development of the girls under its care.

Reflecting on the initial accomplishments of the project, Mrs. Mansaray extended her heartfelt appreciation to the community and stakeholders for their steadfast support.

She emphasized the pivotal role of empowering the girl child and ensuring avenues for a brighter future. Additionally, the CEO outlined her vision of collaborating with local entities and authorities to ensure the sustainability and enduring success of the center.

Present at the launch was Chief Ibrahim S. Senesie, the esteemed leader of Bai Largoh Section. In his address, Chief Senesie pledged unwavering security and support for the center.
