A Sierra Leonean Lady in Hijab also a student of the Fourah Bay College, Adama Yero Chernor Jalloh, has been verbally and physically abused and stripped off her hijab by the State House Officers on allegations that she is a spy sent by the former president, Ernest Bai Koroma.

According to a confirm source, the abused had learnt from her class group that they were having a lecture so she went out to go for the lectures but because of the strike, she could not get a cab so she started to trek.

The abused walked till she reached cotton tree near the Law court and sat down to rest as she was very tired and feeling dizzy.

She relaxed herself as she rested and busy with her phone, when she noticed an officer passed by her but she didn’t paid any attention to him. The officer then came passed by again for the second time and still met her at the same spot, for that reason he walked up to her and grabbed her saying that she is a spy.

He then took her to State House where other officers abused her verbally and physically.

In the video, the abused then retaliated and uttered the same offensive word to one of them that had cuss her and immediately after the utterance, the same man gave her a hot slap on her cheek.

Going through the video, you will clearly hear from the background how the  officers were repeatedly cussing, hitting her on the head and even pinch her on her neck.

All that happened over claims of been a spy which was not even proven to be true and took her to the Criminal Investigation Department.

This is the reality of our beloved Sierra Leone today, officers finding the slightest chance they get to abuse their powers.

When will us as a country put a stop to all these police brutality and harassments??
