Justice Sulaiman Bah has sentenced Alie Kamara and Fatmata Kamara to 10 years imprisonment for killing one Lovetta Turay.

The two accused, when arraigned at the High Court on Siaka Stevens Street, pleaded guilty to the crime.

The husband and wife who were charged with murder and conspiracy, pleaded with the judge to temper mercy with justice in their final appearance earlier this week.

According to the documentation of the offence, the accused were believed to have killed Turay on the 4th of November 2021 in Freetown.

Police investigation proved that the accused and the deceased both reside at the same address where they had a heated argument. The two convicts later threw an offensive weapon at Turay.

The defence lawyer, Morrison Karimu pleaded with the judge citing that the accused have four who need parental care.

Regardless, Justice Bah sentenced the two accused to 10 years imprisonment for their actions.
