The Eastern Regional District of Sierra Leone, Kailahun District is set to receive a four-face modern clock tower commissioned by the Kailahun District Council Chairman Kekeh Sahr Lamin for installation on the 15th of February 2023.

The project’s handing over ceremony happened at the unfinished clock tower project at the heart of the township, a project which many citizens of the district anticipated for decades.

The District Council Chairman, revealed at the ceremony that the project was financed from revenues. He believed that the initiative will motivate taxpayers tp pay taxes regularly.

Speaking on behalf of the stakeholders on how they receive such projects, Chief Bringo Ndoleh appreciated and thanked the chairman for the initiative.

The people refer to the project as “from the people back to the people”.

Following the sudden pause of two unfinished clock towers in major towns in Kailahun District, namely, Segbwema and Daru, many people hope that the new project will be completed in due time.
