The Member of Parliament representing Sorogbema and Makpele Chiefdoms, Hon. Hawa Akpajie Kallon, has donated over 100 bags of cement and more than 10 bundles of zinc sheets worth millions of Leones to support the rehabilitation of the All Christian Fellowship Church in Solima.
The donation is aimed at helping restore the church building, which had deteriorated over the years and affected worship activities.
Receiving the materials, Pastor Victor Vandi, Pastor in Charge of the church, expressed appreciation to Hon. Kallon, describing the intervention as a major relief and a renewed hope for the congregation. He said the church had previously sought support from several stakeholders without success until the MP responded to their appeal.

Pastor Vandi also praised Hon. Kallon for her continued support to communities in her constituency, highlighting her interventions in education, healthcare, agriculture and humanitarian activities. He noted that she has supported students sitting public examinations, provided assistance to vulnerable families during the Muslim fasting season, supplied medicines and medical equipment to health facilities, and encouraged farmers to improve food production.
He described Hon. Kallon as a leader who serves all people without discrimination, noting that her actions reflect Sierra Leone’s tradition of religious tolerance and unity.
Speaking during the presentation, Hon. Kallon said the donation was motivated by her commitment to serving humanity and improving the lives of her constituents. She reaffirmed her determination to continue supporting development initiatives in education, healthcare, agriculture, infrastructure and religious institutions.
Residents who witnessed the presentation described the donation as a significant contribution towards completing the church rehabilitation project and a reflection of the MP’s commitment to grassroots development.
