Leone Stars goalkeeper, Mohamed Nbalie Kamara, who will switch his football career to Horoya AC in the Guinea Premier League on Friday, March 31, 2023, shared iftar in his village of Sendugu, Kambia District, North West Sierra Leone.

Mohamed N. Kamara expressed that he sees the need to give back to his village as a gesture of appreciation due to the current economic situation of the country:

“I promised myself that whatever little Allah help me with, I will give back to my community, especially at a time like this one, living in the village,” he said.

Every household in Sendugu benefited from Kamara’s gift of a 50-kilogram bag of rice.

He won the Man of the Match award against Algeria at the AFCON 2021 defending champions in Cameroon and said:

I am not doing this for the show, in the world and beyond, he claimed.

He further encouraged other Sierra Leoneans to do the same or even more for their people, believing that his gesture would inspire others to emulate. He noted,

I want to inspire other people who have done it and don’t think about it to see the need to do it for their people,” Kamara noted.
