The sixth edition of Project 1808 National Science and Leadership Festival has been concluded in Kabala, on 20 January 2023.

The program, which focuses on Science Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) and Leadership Ideas to actions building took place at the Red Cross Compound, Loma School Road in Kabala for three days.

According to the head of the project, Dr Alhaji Njai, over 1000 participants from government, academia, private sector, and community gathered in Kabala, their unique STEEAM and Leadership Festival.

Our Sixth and the best so far was a place for technical and thought leaders to discuss how to contextual and domesticate #STEEAM for sustainable development. It was also a place for young and old to learn about #STEEAM from ideas to practice, local innovation, experience and embrace the culture, and develop the knowledge, understanding, and wisdom around transformational leadership. Many thanks to all those who volunteered, participated, facilitated, and or supported this cause in diverse ways,” he said.

Dr Njai expressed massive thanks to their staff, mentors, students, board, and family members for the excellence and hospitality displayed.

For three days, Kabala saw the best in Sierra Leone, a true spirit of love, unity, oneness, and desire to become change agents in society,” he added.

Project 1808 is a non-profit organisation based in Madison, Wisconsin, and it has long been involved in the development of youths and Capacity building.
