Honourable Mabinty Funna, a lawmaker from the Northern District of Tonkolili has on Saturday April 4th 2024 fed 1,290 students who sat to the just concluded National Primary School Examinations.

The initiative described by many as impressive was aimed at reducing the burden on parents by providing lunch and refreshments for their children.

The opposition lawmaker extended her goodwill gesture to the four (4) NPSE centres in Kunike Sanda and Kunike Follawusu chiefdoms. In MASINGBI AND MAMASO SANKA, the towns that hosted the four centers, the kids were given food and other hospitality.

In addition to her assistance, all the teachers and invigilators who conducted the exams equally benefited from this humanitarian gesture by providing lunch and refreshments for them during and after the examinations.

Over the years, the female politician is known for supporting her communities through various initiatives including awarding scholarships to vulnerable students in various tertiary institutions across the country.

The initiative was lauded from across the Communities especially at a time when the economic situation in the country continues to bite the ordinary citizens. Parents who witnessed the ceremony described the MP’s initiative as timely and in the right direction.

In an interview, the current Member of Parliament says the initiative will continue in the subsequent examinations.
