Pankaj Kumar is an Indian national, a salesman attached to an Indian outfit. He appeared on Wednesday 26th of October 2022, before Magistrate Isata Sellu Tucker of court No 2 at Pademba Road, Freetown for forged documents to steal money from his boss worth over One Hundred Million Leones.

The accused is charged with 5 counts of forgery of documents contrary to Section 4 (1) of the Forgery Act of 1913, contrary to Section 6 (1) of the Forgery Act of 1913, and demanding property of forged documents.

According to the charge sheet, count 1, the accused Pankaj Kumar Parchai on Tuesday 6th of October 2022, at No. 4 Back Street Freetown, with intent to defraud forged certain documents to wit Jothani Amount Enterprise receipt No. 817 bearing the sum of Thirty Million Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Leones purporting that it was the money Khalil Mugnie has to pay him for goods he supplied him.

On count 4, the accused on the same date and place with intent to defraud, forged certain documents to wit Jothani Amount Enterprise receipt No. 818 bearing the sum of Sixteen Million Eight Hundred Thousand Leones, purporting that it was the money Khalil Mugnie has paid for goods he supplied him which he knows to be false.

Count 5 states that the accused on the same date and place with intent to defraud obtained certain property that is to say the sum of Nineteen Million Nine Hundred and Fifty Thousand Leones from Khalil Mugnie through forged receipts with No. 817 and 818 by falsely pretending that it was the money he has to pay him for goods he supplied him which he was known to be false.
No bail grants the accused remanded in custody until the 28th of October 2022. ASP Hawa Bah is Prosecuting the matter.
