Man Arrested With Military Uniform in Bo
A team of Military personnel has arrested a 25-year-old man named Abdul Kargbo for impersonating a member of the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF).
This arrest took place in the evening hours of Friday, June 9th, 2023 on the Bo Kenema highway, across from the Bintish nightclub, in the presence of the esteemed Regional Police Commander in the South, AIG Brima Kanneh.
Abdul Kargbo, a resident of Jakema Street, Bo No;2, and a first-year student at Njala University/Paramedical, pursuing a CHO course, confessed to wearing his brother’s soldier uniform to deceive others.
His brother, who is a soldier, was away in Rutile, and Abdul Kargbo decided to use the uniform only on that particular day.
According to one of the Military officers, Abdul Kargbo was spotted from a distance, and when he realized he had been noticed, he attempted to escape but was unable to evade capture.
AIG Kanneh displayed unwavering resolve and assured the general public that the suspect would be swiftly investigated and brought before the court of law.
He warned all and sundry to refrain from the use of security materials in other wards, known as personation as the Law is of no respect of man.
The Military wearings will be used as an exhibit while the Investigation will continue at the Regional Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
This is one of the Kamajors that was given military uniforms to kill opposition members.
