The body of a 27-year-old man was discovered on Friday, February 28, 2025, at 3:30 PM by community members after being submerged for hours in the Moselolo River, located in Lower Banta Chiefdom, Moyamba District.
The deceased, identified as Amos Egujiama, was a resident of Mopomoi Village and served as the Section Youth Secretary General for Bengelor Section in Lower Banta Chiefdom.
According to sources, Amos drowned on February 27, 2025, at approximately 3:45 PM while returning from a barn-rolling exercise in Bagruwa Chiefdom, Moyamba District.
Reports indicate that Amos and three others attempted to cross the river multiple times before he was eventually swept away by the current.
His remains are currently awaiting police investigations and official clearance before burial.
