Information reaching this medium states that, at around 14:00Hrs on Tuesday 25th August 2022, in Gbane Chiefdom Kono District a man identified as Kai Ngaujah of Area Two Ngandorhun town was found dead with gun wounds on his body and a short gun lying beside him along a footpath leading to a place called Tuikongor in Ngandorhun Gbane Chiefdom, Kono District.
According to information gathered, the said matter was reported to the police by the aforementioned chiefdom Speaker Chief Allieu Konguwa. Police sources said a team of detective officers including the officer commanding CIP Kembay at the Ngandorhun Police post and Deputy Sgt. 9263 Jalloh have jointly visited the scene of the crime with some of the community people and relatives of the deceased.
The police source further stated that at the scene of the crime the remains of the deceased were found lying on his back with blood oozing from his stomach and a short gun also lying beside him indicating the deceased might have gone out on a hunting expedition.
Meanwhile, one of the detective police officers who visited the scene of the crime maintained that a spill of blood drops was discovered along a road leading to a hill called Tuikongor which is about one hundred and fifty meters from where the corpse was found, noting that upon tracing the blood which extended to a hillside a slippery foot mark of a human being was discovered and from that point, there was no trace of footsteps the officer noted.
Explaining further, the findings at the scene of the crime the detective police officer pointed out that upon their observation, an empty shell was found stocked in the barrel of the said short gun.
The remains of Kai Ngaujah were examined by a Community Health Officer in Ngandorhun. Mr. Albert and the corpse were later removed from the scene of the crime to his residence at Area Four in Ngandorhun town on the request of the deceased relatives, his remains were handed over to them for burial as they believed his death was an accident caused by himself with his gun.
