Magistrate Peter Brima Gogra of Pademba Road Court No.6 in Freetown has remanded a 23-year-old man, Ransford Turay for Larceny contrary to section 2(1) of the Larceny Act of 1916.
The accused was arraigned before Court for stealing one iPhone and one Android mobile phone.
According to the particulars of the offence, the accused on Friday 10 March 2023, at 15 Sunders Drive, Brookfield Freetown; stole one iPhone and another mobile phone valued at four million old Leones (Le4,000,000) property of Tedyga Kargbo.
However, after hearing the charge in Court, the accused pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor Inspector Musu Edna Kpulun told the Court that her witness was present but they didn’t have a proper conference; she, therefore requested an adjournment date.
Magistrate Peter Brima Gogra refused the accused bail and sent him to the Pademba Road Male Correctional Center on remand.
Magistrate Gogra also, adjourned the matter to Tuesday 28 March 2023, for another hearing.
