On Thursday 23rd February 2023, Daniel Lasayo, Store Assistant at Caritas; David Senesie, laborer; Moses Sandy, Labourar; and Patrick Lamin, former pupil of the St Edwards Secondary School made their first appearance before Magistrate Marke Ngegba of the Padember Road Magistrate Court No.1 in Freetown on two count charges of conspiracy to commit a felony contrary to law and store breaking and larceny contrary to section 26(1) of the larceny Act of 1916.

The particular offense stated that the accused persons on Friday 21st November 2022 at Caritas store in Kingtom, Freetown conspired together with unknown persons to commit a felony wit store breaking and larceny.

Count two states that all the accused persons on the same date and place with an intent broke into the store of Caritas Kingtom in Freetown and stole their properties.

Properties stolen include 53 Multi-Grain food Powder, valued at one hundred and six million four hundred and seventy-five Leones, ninety- four cents, 30 boxes of clothing valued at twenty-four million three hundred thousand Leones, and 150 pieces of blankets, valued at nine million six hundred thousand Leones; the property of Caritas Freetown.

The accused persons are on Police bail and Magistrate Marke Ngegba has adjourned the matter to the 5th of March 2023 for further hearing.
