NAYCOM and IOM Review TVET Programme to Strengthen Youth Reintegration in Sierra Leone
The National Youth Commission (NAYCOM), in collaboration with the International Organisation for Migration (IOM), has concluded a review of the first cohort of its Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programme, bringing together representatives from Obasanjo College and other key partners at Mozza Resort.
The review assessed the implementation of Cohort 1, focusing on programme achievements, challenges encountered, and lessons learned. Participants also discussed practical strategies to strengthen the next phase of the initiative, with the goal of improving reintegration opportunities for young people across Sierra Leone.
The review forms part of broader efforts to ensure that reintegration programmes are responsive to the needs of young people, particularly those seeking sustainable livelihoods through skills development and employment.
Through its partnership with NAYCOM and other stakeholders, the IOM continues to play a vital role in supporting the reintegration of returning migrants while creating opportunities for young people to build sustainable futures.
