As fuel scarcity hit Sierra Leone’s capital, Freetown, causing long queues at gas stations and hampering the movement of vehicles and goods across the country.

Meanwhile, Albert Brewah, a customer has registered his disatification over an alleged unfair treatment by a NP Station pump attendant.

According to him, they were in a queue when a man by the name of Derick with a sticker inscribed on his vehicle ‘Derick Enterprise” brought 2 SUVs at the NP Gas station boasting he has connections.

The customer further alleged that the pump attendant remove all of them that were in the queue to pump for the man who was bragging about his connections. Brewah then asked why sierra Leone always has to be like this?.

The government fixed the official price of fuel at 22,000 Leones, but there have been long queues at petrol stations over the past few days as a result of fuel stations refusing to sell to customers.

According to a government source: “There is no shortage of fuel or increase in pump prices. The fact is, there is a huge consumption of fuel (Millions of Litres of fuel) during the festive season
