Orange SL, one of Sierra Leone leading Telecom Company in the country, as part of its continued efforts to expand on its network for customers satisfaction, on Thursday 13th October, 2022, unveiled the 538th Commercial Orange Site (tower) at Mile 91, Yoni Chiefdom, Northern Sierra Leone.

Mavis Macaulay of Orange SL, during her opening remarks, said the purpose of opening another tower at the aforementioned locality was to continue to provide effective and efficient service to their customers in that locality and its environs. She furthered that Orange cares and values its customers, as providing quality and affordable services that has been a topnotch priority for the company.

In his remark, Member of Parliament representing Constituency 048 in Tonkolili District, Hon. Aaron A. Koroma, commended Orange-SL for continuing to provide reliable services to its customers at their door steps. He said the company has worked to his expectations, noting that the telecom has contributed immensely to the people of sierra Leone, citing the improved learning outcomes and businesses through the use of Orange money.

The Member of Parliament remarked that the tower would improve the security sector, which, according to him, the site has been a security threat before. He therefore implored his people to patronize the company in order to continue rending good services at the highest peak.

Representative of the Paramount Chief of Yoni Mamella Chiefdom, Mr. Mohamed I. Sankoh, also expressed gratitude to the Orange mobile company for their excellent services. he implored the company to continue moving in the right direction so as they would enhance their objectives in reaching out to the least resident in the country. Mr. Sankoh assured that the Chiefdom would own the site and ensure that it could not be of security threat.

In his brief remarks, the South Regional Manager of Orange-SL, Augustus Bendu, said he was delighted to open another site which will make life better for the people of the locality. Citing the importance of communication in the daily life of people, the Regional Manager disclosed that the Canadian College site was the 538th for the mobile company that would connect chiefdoms in that District and beyond.

He urged all stakeholders present to indulge their people to make use of Orange-SL, which he described as the best for Sierra Leone, adding that Mile 91 was at the heart of the management of the company. He therefore implore them to own the site and become watchdogs.
