Saidu- Bah Conteh on Monday 28th March 2022 appeared before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Court No. 1 Pademba Road, Freetown, for allegedly stealing some quantity of copper cables valued over one hundred million Leones. The accused Sheku-Bah Conteh is charged with a count of larceny contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916.

According to the charge sheet, the accused Sheku-Bah Conteh on Wednesday 26th February 2022, at the Electricity Distribution ad Supply Authority (EDSA) Sub Station Bo town, in the Southern part of Sierra Leone, stole quantity of copper cables valued one hundred and forty-seven million, three hundred and sixty thousand Leones, property of EDSA.

The accused is however on five hundred million Leones bail. Matter was adjourned to 4th April, 2022. ASP Ibrahim Sheik Mansaray is prosecuting the matter.

In another development, in the same Court Abdul Kamara, appeared before the same Court on a count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm contrary to Section 47 of the Offences Against the Person Act 1861.

According to charge sheet, the accused Abdul Kamara on Friday 13 August 2021, at Tokeh Village, Peninsular Road, Freetown, assaulted Thomas Nabie in a manner thereby occasioning him actual bodily harm. Independent Observer Newspaper reports that, the accused has been remanded in custody until 5th April 2022.
