A devastating accident occurred on the night of Friday, June 28th, along the Kenema-Kailahun Highway, just past the Kailahun town checkpoint.
According to reports, a Toyota Hiace carrying a group of mourners collided with a stationary truck, resulting in severe injuries. Further reports indicate that the impact of the crash was so intense that a front passenger suffered a complete leg amputation.
The injured were quickly transported to Kailahun Town Hospital for urgent medical treatment. Witnesses described the scene as both serious and painful to witness.
