The Masiaka Police Division has on the 16th May 2024 arrested one police constable 17234 at the Mile 38 Checkpoint for impersonating the rank Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).
According to the information officer at the Masiaka Police Division, Bockarie Vanjawa Zombo, the incident occurred at about 0930hrs One Abdulai Koroma popularly known as (Ajadeh) of Freetown who was in Full OSD uniform with the rank of DSP who came from Freetown to mile 38 and was intercepted by CPL 13369 attached CDIID PHQ and PC 18533 Zombo BV after interrogation it was discovered that indeed he is a police officer but with the rank of PC 17234.
The Officer Commanding mile 38 checkpoint ASP Fatorma Ansumana together with the alleged DSP was taken to the Divisional headquarters Masiaka police station to the Local Unit Commander Masiaka Division CSP John B Koroma who infact known the said suspect for his previous record when he was head of CDIID the said suspect was also investigated for improper practice in 2023 by them the said suspect was Constable.
They further that, the Local Unit Commander Masiaka Division CSP John B. Koroma immediately ordered that the said suspect should be taken to police headquarters because he known the said suspect when he was head of CDIID under his eye watch he was investigated for improper practice and by them he was PC and the suspect have been taken to police headquarters for further investigation.
