Executive Chairman, Petroleum Regulatory Agency, Brima Baluwa Koroma on Friday 17th February 2023 donated a full set of brand new brass band musical instruments to the Bo Commercial Secondary School.
The donation was in fulfilment of a promise made by the Agency’s boss during the school speech day last year.
The donation ceremony attracted staff and pupils who were in a jubilant mood referring to the donation as a ‘dream come true’ as the school plan to celebrate its 50th Anniversary in 2024.
Presenting the donation, Brina Baluwa Koroma reiterated President Bio’s commitment to human capital development yielding a significant improvement in the educational sector.
“When I attended the School’s last year Speech Day as the Guest Speaker, a passionate plea for a brass band was made by the Musical Director. As someone who believes in the leadership of our ‘Tok & Does’ President, I decided to fulfil this as my continuous support to a school”, he said.
He appealed to other Old Boys of the school and indigenes of the region to support development activities in their various capacities.
Principal of the Bo Commercial Secondary School David Moses expressed his appreciation for the timely donation of the much-needed brass band and his continuous support which is much emulated by others.
Ansumana Gulama, National Vice Chairman of Old Pupils, and Band Master said that the school has been without a proper brass band for over fifteen (15) years, appreciating Baluwa for his support to the school and the band.
