The Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority (SLRSA) has been urged to take immediate action to remove a truck that has remained parked along New Gerihun Road in Bo for nearly a week, amid growing concerns over public safety.
Road users and residents have raised alarm over the prolonged presence of the vehicle, warning that it poses a significant hazard to pedestrians, motorists, commercial motorbike riders, and other commuters using the busy roadway.
According to concerns expressed by members of the public, the truck’s location has disrupted the normal flow of traffic and increased the risk of road crashes, particularly during periods of heavy traffic and reduced visibility.

The call for intervention emphasizes the need for the SLRSA, alongside other relevant authorities, to promptly remove the vehicle in order to restore safe and free movement along the road.
Residents maintain that timely action is necessary to prevent avoidable accidents and ensure that public roads remain safe for all users. They further stressed that road safety should remain a top priority and urged the responsible authorities to respond swiftly before the situation results in a serious incident.
