Popular Sierra Leonena TV Personality, Phebean Swill on Saturday 11 February 2023 graduated with an Honours Degree (First Class) – in Media and Journalism at the Limkokwing University of Creative Technology and was a Recipient of the Tan Sri Limkokwing for Creativity and Innovation.

Phebean Swill was among over 900 students that started their courses at the Limkokwing University of Creative Technology and were finally able to graduate after a long wait.

Phebean Swill embarked on her career in broadcasting in 2009 at age 17, starting as a Disk Jockey (DJ) at Eagle Africa Radio, informing and entertaining listeners of the community radio stations.

In 2010/2011, the youthful Swill fastly rose the ladder where she was the only female club DJ in Freetown. Not long after, she took up news reading for local radio and television stations, while also performing as host of Ceremony for entertainment galas. The rest they say is history.

Phebean today is a presenter and news anchor at Africa Young Voices (AYV) television. Earlier, she grabbed huge expertise as a radio/television presenter, producer, and reporter for various local and international media institutions like; Capital Radio, Free Radio, Star Radio and Television, the Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC) radio and television, and Africa Independent Television (AIT) and Raypower FM in Sierra Leone and Lagos, Nigeria. And today, she is considered one of the most definite Queens of the waves; a concrete broadcaster and home name in Sierra Leone and beyond.

Swill has hosted the first-ever reality TV show in Sierra Leone – Big Sister Salone, host of the first Miss Correctional, co-host of the biggest reality TV show in Sierra Leone – Housemates Salone, co-host of the biggest musical festival in the subregion – Ecofest, and several other entertainment and corporate events.

For using her platform to raise issues affecting women, girls, and young people, Phebean is proudly but humbly a recipient of several local and international awards and recognition. Phebean Swill is a Mandela Washington Fellow 2021, a member of the International Leadership Association, and a Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Programme Alumna 2019.
