Sylvia Blyden Says Her Facebook Post First Informed Fatima Bio of Zainab Sheriff’s Matter
Sylvia Blyden says First Lady Fatima Maada Bio first learned about the dispute involving Zainab Sheriff, the police and the judiciary through a post Blyden published on Facebook.
Fatima Bio made the disclosure during the opening of the 2026 National Unity and Social Cohesion Conference, explaining how the matter first came to her attention.
In a Facebook post, Blyden said the First Lady was attending an international meeting when the incidents and arrests involving Sheriff occurred and had no prior knowledge of the matter.
Blyden explained that she made the post after Sheriff was arrested over what she described as disrespect toward the judiciary and police. According to Blyden, the post explained the legal issues surrounding the case and was the first time the First Lady learned about the unfolding dispute.
“Fatima is saying the truth,” Blyden wrote, maintaining that her Facebook page was the source through which the First Lady learned about the matter.
Blyden also called for the publication of an alleged apology letter that Sheriff reportedly submitted to Shady Baby, saying she was eager to read the document.
The claims were made in Blyden’s Facebook post, which included a link to a video discussing the matter. The account reflects Blyden’s explanation of how the First Lady became aware of the dispute.
