APC politician and social commentator Dr Sylvia Olayinka Blyden has commended the Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority (SLRSA) for what she described as a swift and efficient service delivery after completing her driver’s licence renewal process in about 30 minutes.

Sharing her experience online on Thursday, 6 August 2026, Dr Blyden said she visited the SLRSA Pademba Road branch after discovering that her driver’s licence had expired while test-driving a vehicle.

She expressed appreciation for the speed of the process, noting that her information was processed and a new licence issued within half an hour.

Dr Blyden highlighted that the service was delivered despite the Pademba Road branch currently operating from temporary structures following a recent fire incident that affected an adjacent property.

She praised the branch management under Madiana Wai Kamara and the staff for maintaining service delivery under challenging conditions, describing their commitment and dedication as commendable.

Dr Blyden also extended appreciation to the wider SLRSA leadership, including Board Chairman Mr Thomas M. Lahai and Executive Director James Bagio Bio, for their role in supporting effective service delivery.

She concluded her remarks by expressing her satisfaction with the experience, stating: “I am impressed.”
