Residents at Sussex in the Peninsular axis of Western Rural Area have reported another cable theft from their Electricity Distribution and Supply Authority (EDSA) transformer that is used to supply the area with electricity.

In the video, it is seen that the cables connected to the transformer that is installed outside the fence were cut down and the thieves also jumped over the fence and cut down the other cables that were connected to the other transformer.

A man in the video revealed that, the incident took place yesterday 22nd April, 2022 at around 9:00 PM when EDSA took the electricity. The man and other people accused EDSA workers of stealing the cables. According to them, is only EDSA workers that have the technical knowhow to steal cables that are connected to transformers.

Residents added that, this is the third time that thieves have stolen cables from the transformers. They called on the Government to provide securities to man the facility or else they will never have electricity in that area as thieves will continue to steal the cables.
