Two individuals, a woman and a young man, have been arrested and handed over to police in Bo following allegations that they attempted to lure a school pupil in the New London community.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred on Tuesday, 23 June 2026, and involved a Form Two pupil of Ansarul Islamic Secondary School.
A local mechanic in the New London area said he became suspicious after observing an interaction between the suspects and the pupil. He reportedly confronted the pair and raised an alarm, attracting the attention of nearby residents.
Residents said the suspects attempted to flee the scene but were apprehended with the help of community members before being handed over to police for further investigation.
Some witnesses alleged that the suspects used unusual tactics, which they described as “mystic powers,” although authorities have not confirmed those claims.
As of the time of publication, police had not issued an official statement on the matter. Investigations are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident and determine whether any criminal offence was committed.
Security officials have urged members of the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities.
