As humanity works overtime to scrub off the scent of pandemic era which rampaged the entertainment industry and threatened a devastating resurgence, we’ve all witnessed a boom in outdoor activities globally and in Sierra Leone.

Entertainers and musicians are not left out of this and have doubled down to create soundtracks to support the wave and thanks to this, we’ve had a sonically hotter year, with the airwaves taken captive by banger tracks after banger tracks.

Last year 2021, Sierraloaded started the Hottest Artiste List, an undiluted run down of the Artistes that shaped, defined and led music among Sierra Leonean consumers throughout the year.

This list underscores the entertainers who scored the biggest hits, tours, mega moves on the local and international scene, the award winners, and in general, the people we’ve listened and danced to for the past 12 months

Arkman – #3

Abdul Razak Kanu or ‘Arkman’ as He is largely called has enjoyed a fairly spectacular 2022.
Since his breakthrough hit “Vanity” in 2016, Arkman has not relented in his quest to delivering good music and this has earned him a feat of becoming the first musician from Salone to break international limits and carry the Sierra Leonean music globally.

After a relatively dull 2021, Arkman returned to the music scene to prove his previous successes is definitely no fluke. And if we’re to mention the top hit songs out of Sierra Leone in 2022, I bet you can’t leave out “Heaven”, another song off Arman’s melody, vibe and catchy hook with strong replay value.

His influence this year spreads outside the music circles, as he also impacted immensely on communities around Sierra Leone. He was involved in the distribution of food stuffs to the poor and his partnership with the Legal Aid Board and National Youth Commission culminated into a free musical concert for children at the Freetown Amusement Park.

 

On the tour scene, the Arkman Music Boss expanded his reach by performing in Gambia alongside other prominent artistes from Sierra Leone. Apart from ECOFEST, He also has several shows lined up in Kono, Kabala and some major cities in Sierra Leone.

We’re not forgetting Arman was recently made a brand Ambassador for Nigerian made Odugwu bitters. Nothing more can be used to describe a amazing year – hit songs, deals & collaborations, tours and great successes like that which Arman has had! There need no question as to why the vanity crooner sits on the #3 spot among the Hottest Artiste in Sierra Leone 2022!
