Entertainers and musicians are not left out of this and have doubled down to create soundtracks to support the wave and thanks to this, we’ve had a sonically hotter year, with the airwaves taken captive by banger tracks after banger tracks.

Last year 2021, Sierraloaded started the Hottest Artiste List, an undiluted run down of the Artistes that shaped, defined and led music among Sierra Leonean consumers throughout the year.

Rahim D Wezard – #11

Praised for his ability to meet out witty punchlines and seamlessly impress as a singer, Sierra Leone and Hejenah Entertainment Recording artiste, Ibrahim Bakarr known professionally as Rahim D Wezard stands today as one of the country’s most treasured music heavyweights whose stock has risen exponentially over the years.

The multiple award winner made his big break in 2015 with his Alonzo-featured anthem, Tekneh and has since been on an impressive streak.

While we were still grooving to his 2021 singles like “Special Time”, “Go Low” and “Peace of Mind”, Rahim returned fiercer. This time, the Rara crooner compelled our ears to salivate and feet to twitch with 12 hot new singles in his “Meet me in Freetown” album which featured the likes of Drizilik, iTribe and Keylar Voice. As expected, Rahim delivers an album with smooth Afro-Love tunes that reckons with the youthful soul and mind.

The album which was launched in the United States already has over 100,000 plays on Audiomack and is racking high airplays locally and internationally.

Hate him or love him, Rahim has shown a level of consistency only a few can match, if any. Since he broke through the ranks, the lad has totally lived up to expectations, winning several awards and gracing countless number of stages.

It’s been such a massive year for the lad, some may even argue he should be higher up the list. But by majority decision of the Sierraloaded Team, He is the 11th Hottest Artiste in Sierra Leone 2022.
