The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) wishes to inform the general public that it welcomes the tabling in Parliament and publication of the Auditor General’s Report for the Financial Year ended 31st December, 2022 by the Audit Service Sierra Leone.

The Commission further wishes to state that it has immediately commenced examination of the said Report.

The Anti-Corruption Commission has welcomed the tabling and publication of the 2022 Auditor General’s Report for the financial year ended, 31st December 2022by the Audit Service Commission.
In its Public statement, the commission revealed that it has immediately commenced examination of the said report.

The Commissioner of the ACC, Francis Ben Kaifala Esq., reiterates the Commission’s unwavering commitment to examine the Report, noting that: “The ACC attaches utmost importance to the Auditor General’s Reports, and as done in recent times, we will provide updates to the public through Serialized Media Releases on the interventions and outcomes related to the Report. Our interventions will include investigations, prosecutions, convictions, recovery, prevention measures, and, in appropriate situations, exoneration and clearing of persons and institutions. It is also important to note that the Commission is cognizant of the Constitutional role of Parliament insofar as the Auditor General’s Report is concerned, and we will collaborate with them in ensuring public institutions are held accountable for State Resources allocated to them.

The Commission further expresses it unwavering commitment to work with Audit Service Sierra Leone to ensure that each party performs its role to ensure that the various issues of concern addressed without fear or favour for anyone.
The Commission wishes reassure the general public of its determination and relentless resolve to protect all State Resources.
