Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police North East of Sierra Leone, Gabriel Tommy has strictly warned the general public in his operational areas not to involve in any form of demonstration or riot that is making the rounds on different social media platforms in the country.

He described the said illegal demonstration or riot as a means of undermining the peace people are enjoying in the country. AIG Tommy maintained that people have the right to demonstrate but they should do so within the confines of the law.

“As our constitutional duty is to protect the lives and property of Sierra Leoneans the Police will leave no stone unturned in addressing any illegal activities that will bring the country to a state of security turmoil,” AIG Tommy warned.
