The All People’s Congress (APC) has announced the rescheduling of its outstanding ward rerun elections, moving the exercise from Wednesday, July 29, 2026, to Saturday, August 1, 2026.
In a public notice issued by the party’s National Secretariat, the APC said the decision was taken to allow for the completion of outstanding administrative arrangements required to ensure the elections are conducted in a peaceful, transparent, credible, and well-organised manner across all affected wards.
The party called on all members, stakeholders, aspirants, delegates, election officials, observers, candidates, and supporters to take note of the revised date and make the necessary adjustments to their plans.
According to the National Secretariat, the postponement is intended to strengthen preparations and facilitate a smooth electoral process that reflects the party’s commitment to internal democracy and fairness.
The APC also expressed appreciation to its members for their patience, understanding, and continued commitment throughout the process.
Reaffirming its dedication to the party’s democratic values and constitutional principles, the National Secretariat urged all comrades to remain united, disciplined, and focused as the party continues efforts to build a stronger and more cohesive APC.
The rerun elections are expected to be conducted simultaneously in all affected wards on Saturday, August 1, 2026.
