Sierra Leone’s Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Dr. Memunatu Pratt has been awarded by the Bai Bureh Heritage Foundation as the “Minister of the Year 2022”.

The award was in recognition of the numerous developmental initiatives implemented by the Ministry under her stewardship over the past years, especially in 2022.

Bai Bureh Heritage Foundation is a youth-led organization that was organization in 2018. Their headquarters is in Port-Loko City.

Their activities span within the North-West Region but explore the national space in terms of citizens recognition citizens the Bai Bureh Service Delivery Awards. The awards for 2022 are customized and were made in China.

Presenting the Bai Bureh Service Delivery Award for Minister of the Year 2022 to the Tourism Minister, the Executive Director, of Bai Bureh Heritage Foundation, Unisa Fofanah said, the people of Sierra Leone have chosen the Ministhaveto to receive this award after a series of processes aa and assessments of achievements. He revealed that for 2022, they awarded forty service providers at both national and regional levels with the Tourism Minister clinching the Minister of the year award.

He pointed out that the award was given to the Minister for the series of success stories and international highlights during her tenure. He added that they are proud with justification to have Dr. Pratt as the Minister of the year in Sierra Leone for 2022.

Receiving the award, Dr. Memunatu Pratt dedicated the accolade to President Bio and the People of Sierra Leone saying that the award is one of the most dignifying and exciting awards she has received for 2022 because Bai Bureh Heritage Foundation is made up of very young people.

She applauded the Foundation for promoting culture and following the development of the nations. She recognized all sector players that contributed through hard work, dedication, and commitment to ensuring that the sector is on track.

She assured me that the Ministry will l continue to do more and called on Sierra Leoneans to be part of the upcoming first-ever AfriCaribbean festival slated for the 28th of December 2022 to the 2nd of January 2023.
