The Bank Governor of the Central Bank of Sierra Leone, Kelfala Kallon, has revealed how the Central Bank used a whooping sum to bribe people who were hoarding the ‘Leone’ to bring it into the banking system.

According to the Bank Governor, the huge sum of money was spent to be able to stabilize the economy.

In his words, the Bank Governor said “We wasted US$68 million to bribe people who were hoarding the ‘Leone’ in order for them to bring the ‘Leone’ into the banking system.
