Banks to Open on Saturday, 30th December to Accommodate Increased Holiday Activities
Salamatu Y. Kamara The Bank of Sierra Leone has added an extra day to the normal banking days amidst the holiday rush.
This announcement was made in a public notice pursuant to section 53(1) of the Banking Act of 2019 and section 53 of the other Financial Services Act 2001.
According to the notice, commercial banks and other financial institutions are directed to open to the public on Saturday 30th December 2023 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm to provide additional days of banking service over the holiday period.
The notice advised financial institutions to ensure they provide adequate security measures for the smooth operation of their services to the public
