The Commissioner of Anti-Corruption Commission Sierra Leone, Francis Ben Kaifala Esq, has been honoured meritoriously again as; one of 28 distinguished African and Middle East Open Government Leadership Collective (OGLC) Fellows for 2022, by the Global Open Government Partnership in Washihgton, USA on the 31st October 2022.
This honor which is in recognition of his exemplary Anti-Corruption work and Dedication to Transparency, Accountability and Good Governance, came during the regional meeting a day before its opening.
Commissiner Kaifala served as panelist in crucial panel discussions including one on “Soverign Debts Transparency and Sustinability” at the Open Government Partnership for African and the Middle East Leaders meeting in Marrakesh Morocco, where he made vital contributions as he espoused on Sierra Leone’s momentous and high achieving journey in the crusade against corruption in the recent past.
It should ne noted that the OGP process, which was commenced in 2011, seeks to enhance the leadership capacity of reformers within the context of their work. It aims to build a refreshed and ever-growing coalition of Open Government Leaders spearheading transformative reforms and advancing the Open Government movement.
The OGP aims at raising collective ambition, infuse the desired energy and enhance renewed political will to make Government more transparent, accountable and responsive to citizens.
It could be recalled that the ACC Commissioner has bagged countless honors and awards in the recent past, like the; International Anti-Corruption Champion by the US Government, Arch Bishop Desmond Tutu Fellow, Obama Leadership Fellow, Queen Mary University Alumini of the Year, etc because of his outstanding leadership in the fight against corruption in Sierra Leone 🇸🇱.
Whilst it is pleasing for one of us to keep receiving such approbation, it is worthy to note that it is the green, white and blue flag 🇸🇱 that he keeps flying, anything he is awarded/recognised/honored. Congratulations to us all💪🏼🙏👍
