The Head of the Directorate of Traffic in the Sierra Leone Police (SLP), Assistant Inspector General(AIG) has in his reformation drive transferred over fifty (50) senior and junior officers from the Directorate or units in the force.According to AIG Braima Kanneh, the transfers were in line with his transformation drive to rebrand the Directorate for better service delivery in the SLP.

The AIG’s decision for transforming the Directorate is predicated on the alarming lengthy service of some Junior and senior officers who are nonperformers. AIG Brima Kanneh believes the SLP is an institution with various disciplines and that to be a rounded professional officer, you should serve in various disciplines, adding that it is unacceptable and unprofessional for an officer to serve in a particular department for too long.

The National Traffic Director, therefore, cautioned the newly posted officers to maintain high standards of professionalism in the discharge of their professional duties, whilst he reminded them of the current Citizens Journalism where concerned people can get you on Video or audio and share in the Social media.

Some of the Senior officers posted include the National Traffic Coordinator, Thomas Dauda Conteh, District Traffic Officer(DTO) in New England, Freetown, Moses Kaili, DTO Makeni, Adama Saidu, DTO Kenema, Moijueh, DTO Bo East, Lissa, DTO Central Police in Freetown, Fornah amongst others.
