President Julius Maada Bio has expressed profound sorrow over the death of the National Chairman of the All People’s Congress (APC), Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray, describing him as a respected statesman whose contributions to Sierra Leone’s democracy will be remembered for generations.
In a condolence message issued following the announcement of Mansaray’s passing, President Bio said the nation had lost a prominent political figure who played a significant role in the country’s democratic development.
“I am deeply saddened by the passing of the National Chairman of the All People’s Congress (APC), Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray. Sierra Leone has lost a respected statesman and a great politician whose contributions to our nation’s democratic journey will never be forgotten,” the President stated.
President Bio extended condolences on behalf of the Government and people of Sierra Leone, as well as the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP), to the bereaved family, the APC leadership and supporters, and all those affected by the loss.
He acknowledged Mansaray’s service to the nation and his commitment to the political process, noting that his legacy would remain an important part of Sierra Leone’s democratic history.
The President concluded his message by praying for the repose of the late APC Chairman’s soul and offering solidarity to all those mourning his demise.
